The New Gulf Coast Surgery Center (NGCSC), an Ambulatory Surgery Center located in Ocean Springs, Mississippi has been awarded a three-year certification from Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). Status as an accredited organization means the New Gulf Coast Surgery Center has successfully passed a series of rigorous nationally recognized standards in the provision of quality health care. Ambulatory health care organizations seeking to achieve this exceptional accreditation undergo a two-day extensive on-site peer based survey of its facilities and services.
The NGCSC became a part of the HMA family on January 1, 2007 in partnership with Biloxi Regional Medical Center. The leadership and partnership with BRMC during the past year was instrumental in achieving the highest award given by AAAHC. The accreditation underscores the daily commitment of the employees and physicians in providing the highest levels of quality health care to their community. These efforts have been led by Donna Griggs, CNO of NGCSC. “I believe our mission is to deliver high quality, patient-centered care that always exceeds expectations, as well as being the preferred choice for outpatient surgery procedures in our community. Focusing on this mission helped us to achieve this accreditation,” says Donna.
